RUDOLPH'S RETREAT
Named for the last brew master, Rudolph Speier,
who owned and operated the City Brewery, one of
Galena‘s predominant breweries in the 1800s, of
which the guest house building was the icehouse
and the adjacent Stone House Pottery building was
the main aging facility.
